4 Islands, Hong Islands, Phi Phi or 7 Islands – which Krabi island tour?

By after. team (Leo & Nick, living in Ao Nang) · Last updated: October 2026

4 Islands (Phra Nang, Chicken Island, Tup Island, Poda)

Closest to Ao Nang, relaxed, good for a first day. Longtail boats are classic and cheaper; speedboats get you more beach time.

Hong Islands

A hidden lagoon surrounded by cliffs, white-sand beaches and kayaking. Fewer crowds than Phi Phi, the "wow" pick for many.

Phi Phi, Maya Bay & Bamboo Island

The famous one. Longer day by speedboat, busy at midday. Early-bird tours leave around 7 am to reach Maya Bay before the big boats – worth it.

7 Islands sunset + BBQ

Starts around noon, island hopping and snorkelling in the afternoon, sunset on the water, dinner on the beach and glowing plankton after dark. The best one for a group or a date.
