- Songthaews (red/white pickup trucks) – shared rides along fixed routes between Ao Nang, Nopparat Thara and Krabi Town. Wave one down; pay roughly 50–100 THB depending on distance and time of day. Last runs are in the early evening.
- Grab / Bolt – available in Ao Nang and Krabi Town, convenient at night, prices change with demand.
- Scooter – the most freedom. You need an international driving permit with a motorcycle category to be legally covered; police checkpoints are common. Always wear a helmet.Rent a scootervia BikesBookingOpen Partner link – we may earn a small commission, it never costs you more.
- Longtail boats – to Railay, Tonsai and the nearby islands from Ao Nang beach.
- Ferries – Ao Nang/Nopparat Thara pier and Krabi Town (Klong Jilad) pier for Phi Phi, Lanta and beyond. Book a day ahead in high season.
