To Koh Phi Phi
- Ferries run from Ao Nang (Nopparat Thara pier) and from Krabi Town's Klong Jilad pier. The big ferry takes around 1.5–2 hours; speedboats are faster but cost more.
- Expect a Phi Phi island entrance fee to be collected on arrival.
- Book a day ahead in high season (Nov–Apr) and choose a ticket with hotel pickup.
To Koh Lanta
- In high season there are ferries and speedboats from Ao Nang; all year there are minivans that cross by car ferry (around 2.5–3.5 hours door to door).
Tips
- Morning departures are calmer at sea.
- Keep valuables and electronics in a dry bag on speedboats.
